Update on Buzzard Stanway…
Stanway is looking a whole lot better and goes out to the Aviary during the day time to give him some fresh air, exercise and stimulation. The swelling in the eye and upper chest have subsided together with the concussion, and he is much more comfortable in himself. Whilst he is in the Aviary he can keep those wing muscles in tiptop condition and ensure they do not atrophy whilst he is in care. Still not feeding himself but this is normal and we will just wait for that “light-bulb moment” when he remembers that he can do this himself! All in all, very pleased with Stanway’s progress, and he had his last injection this morning, so it is now up to him…
