Update on Buzzard Alphamstone…
Saturday morning took me to see my Vet, Robert Lees, at Linkswood Veterinary Centre to check on Alphamstone’s head-wound and to deal with the broken flight feathers. The head-wound is healing nicely so will continue applying the Dermisol and, after knocking him out, Robert managed to remove nine shattered flight feathers. These will now all grow back at the same time, which will quicken the process considerably and mean he can go back into the wild within a much shorter time-frame. Put him in the Flight Aviary today so he can get some exercise and prevent the wing muscles atrophying. He is such a lovely bird and he seems very happy to be outside and is eating me out of house and home… must find
some roadkill for him when I am out and about…
