Owls and Birds of Prey Rescue Talks
ADULT TALKS
To educate and inform people of the work that I do, and to fundraise, I do give Talks to Groups and Schools about the Owls and Birds of Prey that I have rescued and managed to get back into the wild. As you can imagine, I have met some very interesting characters and when you add this to details about the indigenous owls in this country, the Talk is extremely informative. I also bring along lots of owl related items for sale with all the monies raised going towards the ongoing costs of looking after the birds.
CHILDREN’S TALKS
For the Schools Talk, I bring along taxidermied examples of some of the owls and birds of prey as I find that the children usually have no concept of the size of the birds. All the children attending the Talk also get an “Owl Badge” to keep.
