We had a fabulous day on Saturday at my Owls and Birds of Prey Rescue Talk at Jordan’s Farm in Wakes Colne, with a special section dealing with the baby Barn Owl, Jordan, who was born in the barn but had to be rescued. The weather was perfect and everyone came dressed for a truly rural event. Great to see children in attendance, who were fully engaged and asked some excellent questions. At the break we were treated to a range of drinks plus smashing cakes and biscuits kindly provided by Alex, Toby, Charlie and Elizabeth, which were greatly appreciated by everyone. With lots of bird related goods for sale and the admission charge plus refreshments, we raised a fantastic £258! Our special thanks to Alex and the family for suggesting this fundraising talk and for allowing us to use their Barn for the event. Lots of people who would have liked to attend were not available so the plan is to do another Talk next year…
