Buzzard Ballingdon goes off to the Pre-Release Aviary at Pebmarsh…
Fighting fit again after being clipped by a car on Ballingdon Hill in Sudbury and rescued by Katie and Joanna, I took Ballingdon to the Pre-Release Aviary this morning to start her final journey before release. Pebmarsh is three “Buzzard Wing Flaps” from Ballingdon Hill so she can make her way over there or stay on the farm – the choice is hers. We will give her a few days to settle in and get used to the sights and sounds and then do a Soft Release whereby we open the Aviary door but continue putting food out for as long as she needs. As an adult bird, she knows how to hunt but always good to have an initial safety net for her in case of need. Fly free my lovely and keep away from roads and cars…
